Twain Talks with author Jim Fletcher -check the schedule for the spring of 2018

Jim Fletcher, “official storyteller of Calaveras County,” photographed with a bronze statue of Mark Twain at Camps Restaurant in Angels Camp, California.

Manzanita Arts Emporium has hosted author Jim Fletcher’s weekly Thursday series, TWAIN TALKS, based on the author’s research and book, Mark Twain’s 88 Days in the Mother Lode.  A FREE one-hour presentation filled with little known details about Mark Twain’s life in the Mother Lode and the launch of his literary career was provided for two years, but Jim will take a hiatus for the fall and will be back in the early spring for  scheduled occasional talks. Watch the calendar for dates.

In the meantime, purchase his book and get great information about Mark Twain’s stay in the Mother Lode in 1864-5 and his presence years after he left, into the present.

Location: Manzanita Arts Emporium & Gallery – 1211 S. Main Street, Suite 110, Angels Camp, CA 95222 – corner of Hwy 49 and Rasberry Lane. (Yes, this street looks as if it’s a misspelling, but it isn’t).
