Mondays, March 5 and 19: Morning Writers Unlimited Meetings in Angels Camp at Manzanita Arts Emporium, 1211 S. Main St, Angels Camp 95222, from 9 to 11:30 am. Writing exercise and sharing, with manuscript feedback among fellow writers. Craft sharing and resources available. Join the group – 18 & over. $35 annual membership provides networking, marketing, facility privileges. Meetings Free.
Mondays, March 12 and 26: Evening Writers Unlimited Meetings in San Andreas at the Volunteer Center location, 255 Lewis Avenue from 6 to 9 pm. Share work, prose and poetry, of all genres and levels, with kind writers. Craft exchange and resources. Tuesdays, March 6, 13, 20, 27: Voices of Wisdom, Writing Classes for seniors 55 + at Manzanita Arts Emporium, 1211 S. Main St, Angels Camp 95222, from 2 to 4 pm. Free. Bring a laptop, notebook, or other writing materials. Public invited. All skill levels. Learn writing craft tips, journaling and memoir writing, and be inspired by the weekly prompts to stimulate your memories.
Wednesday, March 14 – Angels Camp Business Association mixer at Manzanita. $5 for ACBA members, others $10. Donations gladly accepted. Hors d’oeuvres and wine. Meet the movers and shakers of the community. Call to let us know you are coming.
Friday, March 16 from 6 to 9:30 pm: “Sip ’N Paint with Artist Mary Sexton.” $45 cost covers all painting materials and complimentary wine. Participants enjoy a relaxing group setting where painting is an activity that allows stress to disappear and worries to fade. Sunday, March 25 from 4 to 6:30 pm: Mother Lode Storytellers Guild holds “Story Swap.” It’s Free and open to the public. Great family fun and all ages welcome. Saturday, April 21 from noon to 5 pm: Manzanita Arts Emporium Featured Artists Reception: Meet and greet MAE’s new artists at the Angels Camp Street Fair. Plein aire artists, jewelry, visiting artists & local authors, food trucks, activities & more.
May 17-20: Calaveras County Jumping Frog Fair & Jubilee. Angels Camp’s classic family fun event. Jump your frog, see special exhibits and animals. Enjoy the musical venues. Be sure to visit Manzanita Writers Press and our authors at the author and press table in the Professional Arts Building.
