Mondays, November 6 and 20: Daytime Writers Unlimited Meetings in Angels Camp at MAE from 9-11:30 am. Writing exercise and sharing, plus manuscript feedback with fellow writers. Mondays, November 13 and 27: Evening Writers Unlimited Meetings at its new meeting location: Volunteer Center of Calaveras in San Andreas at 255 Lewis Avenue on the lower terrace of San Andreas Elementary School from 6 to 9 pm. Share work, prose and poetry, and all genres and levels, with kind writers. Craft exchange, resources, editing by colleagues all available. Join the group – 18 & over. $35 annual membership provides networking, marketing, facility privileges. Meetings free.
Tuesdays, November 7, 14, 21 at San Andreas Senior Center, 956 Mountain Ranch Road and November 28 at Oak Shadows Retirement Community Clubhouse, 1330 Calaveritas Road, San Andreas from 9-11am: Voices of Wisdom, Preserving the Stories of Our Elders, a free weekly writing class series designed for 55-plus seniors, continues with leader-instructor Rebecca Fischer. Participants take all four sessions in a month and write toward a finished essay or memoir piece. Each class is capped at 16, so sign up by calling Manzanita Arts Emporium at 728-6171 or email at email@example.com–FREE. December location and dates: Manzanita Arts Emporium, 1211 South Main Street, Angels Camp, Tuesdays, December 5, 12 and 19, from 9 to 11 am. The writing program is made possible by a generous grant from the Calaveras Community Foundation.
Saturdays from 6 to 8:30 pm: Song Posse meets for an evening of music sharing, poetry and storytelling. No need to make a reservation, come in to participate or listen. First Saturdays 5:30-8pm at the Center for Creativity back barn, at 23 W. St. Charles (Hwy 49) San Andreas. All other Saturdays of the month are at Manzanita Arts Emporium, 1211 So.
